Drones and accessories
Our listings include drones from porpular brands like the Di Jiang Innovations commonly known as
the DJI, Uvify, Parrot and Other smaller brands that are porpular with drones for sports and fun.
Depending on what your main aim of getting a drone is, you have three options to choose from seeing that each will come
with its own set of pros and cons.
1. Multi rotor drones (quad copters and the likes).
2. Fixed winged drones.
3. Single rotors and helicopter drones.
Multi rotor drones- These are drones that come with multiple propellers and are by far the most common of drones as they
are the easiest to use. One of their special qualities is their ability to remain calm and steady while in the air which makes them the best
suitable candidate when it comes to ariel photography. They are also suitable for sports and other commercial uses such
as pestiscide applications in farming. They are not constrained to four rotors, you will find some with three and others with six
propellers depending on their area of application. The downside to these types of drones is their maximum flying time as they
are limited to a 15-30 minute flying capacity. However, they are the easiest to fly of the 3 and are the best to practice flying drones on.
Winged air crafts- These are drones that rely on the traditional aerodynamic physics of achieving flight where the drone (most of the time)
has a single propller that is used to push the drone forward meaning the aircraft has the ability of achieving longer flight times
with lesser energy than its other counter parts. Apart from being used for sporting activities, winged drones have an array of uses
when it comes to commercial applications. In Rwanda, they are used to deliver critical pharmacy items and drugs to inaccessible
areas. They also come in handy when ariel photography over large masses of areas are concerned. Even though flying these type
of drones is not easy, certain designers and manufacturers have been building the type of drones using strong but light materials
to withstand multiple crashes making them eligible for use by entry level participants interested specifically in fixed winged drones.
Helicopter drones- These are drones that take the shape and the physics dynamics of the helicopter. They can carry heavier bulk loads
and last longer in the air than thier multi roter counter parts. Most of their uses include commercial uses like repairing power lines
andcrop spraying. They are however not suitable for photography due to their shaky nature.
In recent years, drone sports have gained alot of momentum especially in the western world. These genrer of sporting has
given birth to multiple inventions, First Person View (FPV) being one of them. These is a technology that allows you to wear
specialized glasses that enables you to see from the drones perspective via the drone's camera. These is made possible by the
live transmittion using radio waves between the "special glasses" and the drone's camera. These may sound like sci fi but far from it.The
only downside to these innovation is the cost as their price tags are on the other side of the roof.Hopefully,we will have populated these niche by the time of you reading these to give you the customer a wider variety of options to choose from.
