10 Greatest Throw Back Kid's Cartoons

• 1. Ben 10

  
  Ben 10 was our bread and butter every saturday morning God Forbid there was a live event or some breaking news to interupt the normal TV programe timetable.The show featured some kid named Ben travelling around the country with his grand father Max and Cousin Gwen on an RV bus.During the vacation,Ben accidentally finds a watch like device named the omnitrix that allows him to turn into 10 different alien species (hence the name ben 10) for a maximum of about 10 miniutes.It's now upto Ben with the help of his grandfather and Cousin to fight off the aliens that are always up on their tale for the omnitrix.The sequel to the show (Ben 10 alien force) is even much better with it's new redefinement of the characters and what the omnitrix can do.

• 2. Power Puff Girls

  
  It is said Butter,Spice,chemical X and everything nice was everything professor Utonium used to create the power puff girls.The Show revolves around 3 young Kindergatten students who were created in a lab by their maker and father.The names of the 3 are bubbles(reddish one), buttercup(green) and blossom(pink) who all have super power abilities such as flying and unlimited strengths.They all live in the city of Townsville which is said to be some where in the United States and is in constant attack from monsters and super villains such as Mojojojo.The mayor who is a short bald man with a secretary who's face no one has ever seen puts all his faith on the little girls to save the day.The power puff girls have to rise up to help the people of townsville while dealing with their personal lives.

• 3. Dexter's Lab

  
  If anybody was inspired to be an inventer back in the day,that was probably dexter's lab fault.The show was about a short moody boy named Dexter who loved to invent technologically advanced machines and save humanity from impending dangers.He lived with his parents and a Sister named DeeDee who realy loved to trash and break his inventions.Below their ordinary and innocent looking house,Dexter had set up an impressive underground gigantic lab that had the latest tech and breachless security.It was said that his greatest nemesis was Moundock:An equally genius kid who invented as much as he did but used his inventions to actually destroy the world.These show was one of my favourites but as soon as I had discorvered it,The show stopped airing and was never to be seen since then.

• 4. Samurai Jack

  
  We never had alot of luck with Samurai Jack as the show was always aired in the middle of the night but when we got a chance to catch it,staying up late to 2:00am was all worth it.It was my very first introduction to Japanese type cartoons and action anime.The show was about a Samurai Warrior who was cast into the future by a powerful wizard named Aku where the reign of evil has risen and has made Samurai Jack the most wanted man in the land.He is forced to treverse through the violence infested communities in order to get back home and save his family that is been held captive by Aku.Through out his journey,he meets friendly people who teach him new skills and in tern learn from him.The show's all new perspective and the adventures made sure the show was fresh.

• 5. Billy and Mandy

  
  Officialy known as the grim adventures of billy and Mandy,the show revolved around Billy:a not so bright kid who seemed to always be happy,Mandy:a dark scary,ever serious girl and grim reaper who they had tricked into imprisonment.The shows theme was dark and was more of an adult cartoon more than it was for kids,infact,sometimes the episodes would end with a character's death only to be revived in the next show.Continuation was not much of their thing but the show held it's water.Even though it was one of my least favourites back then,the show seemed to be very different from everything else I was watching, but could never actually pinpoint what the difference realy was.Fast forward many years later Billy and Mandy are one of the few cartoons that will automatically come across my mind when you ask me to name the best of my child hood cartoons.

• 6.Fosters Home of Imaginary friends

  
  Fosters home is one of those cartoons you enjoyed when you were young but after growing up you wounder wheather there was a hidden meaning to the whole idea and creation of the cartoon itself but that is a topic for another day.The show follows the life of a mischevous Blue animal like creature named Bloo who is Mac's imaginary friend...Yes you read that right.the show is set in a universe where kids emaginery "friends" and people co exist together but once the kid outgrows his/her imaginery,they take it to an orphanage to be adopted.Back to Bloo and Mac.Amid the pressure from his parents to abandon his emaginary friend and the constant bullying from his elder brother,Mac takes Bloo to an Orphanage(Foster Home) where he promises to visit on a daily basis.

• 7. Kids next Door

  
  Code name Kids Next door was one of my favourites after Ben 10 and Samurai Jack.It followed five 10 year old kids in an organization called Kids Next Door who's headquaters was a large tree house that was hidden from adults in plain sight.The kids would use their abilities to fight off both adults,senior citizens, and teenagers from atrocities like Home work, taking them to the dentists or making them go to summer camps.It's was said that the Kids Next door was a global organisation that had its bases on the arctic and on the moon.It recruits kids ages 13 and Below and once the kids mature up, the organisation clears their memory off any KND activities.Even though KND was some top grade animation,it was never able to with stand the waves of time and Just like the kids memories are flashed after they are 13+,I find it hard to remember what any 1 episod was specifically about.

• 8. Johnny Bravo

  
  If you watched Johnny Bravo when young then you need to rewatch it again.It's a timeless piece of animation that has managed to traverse time and make sense to the adult me.As a kid,I always thought Johnny was an annoying guy who never seemed to say the the right things around women.Fast forward some few years later and here I am using Johnny's lines to score some points on and off the field.For those who have no idea,the show centers a 'not so bright' Johnny Bravo who is always on his sun glass and believes all the women want him for his pecks ,moves and his blond beautyful hair which never seems to be the case from the fact that his advances always lead to him getting hurt.When you are young,watching Johnny Bravo was fun but as you grow old you start to watch and listen too which is where I believe Kids Next Door Lost it.

• 9. Courage the Cowerdly Dog

  
  If these list was to contain 3 shows,it would be a struggle between Courage,Ben 10 and Samurai Jack. It was said that courage was abandoned after some crazy veterinarian forcibly sent his parents to outer space and was later found and rescued by Muriel who lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband Eustus who was toothless,cruel and often refered to courage as "Stupid Dog."Due to where they live,the family frequently encountered attacks from super natural forces like ghosts,monsters,demons,zombies,vampires and many more.Even though courage was not so courageous after all,he went out of his way and tasked himself with saving both Eustus and Muriel from impending danger.The show is a sweet twist of comedy and horror.

• 10. Ed,Edd and Eddy

  
  Ed,edd and eddy followed the lives of three clueless outcasts with different variations of the name Ed who were always up to no good.The group consisted of Eddy who was a hot tempered,con artist,self acclaimed leader of the group,Edd who was neat and the smartest of the three and Ed who is dim-witted and the strongest of them all.All Eddy had ever wanted was to steal money from the other kids who did not like them any way and buy some jaw breakers.Still in the same hood as the Eds,there existed a group of girls called the Kanker sisters who were inlove with the trio but the Eds felt something different.Overall,the show was never my favourite but it held it's water among the list of top 10 of throwback kid's cartoons.
