7 Greate Adult Cartoons and Animation
When you are young and clueless, the sheer irony of a ripped guy such as Johnny Bravo being beaten up by a lady was just a funny scenery to behold but as you grow up,you start to watch less and listen more and that is what makes johnny Bravo one of my favourite pieces. It not only had the ability to "be kids with us" but to also grow with us.Adult cartoons are just simply cartoons that have been made for adults who are not yet ready to give up on the vice of animation. They tend to have more mature themes than your ordinary tom and Jerry theatrical thrills.

1. Johnny Bravo
Johnny Bravo is a timeless piece of art that has managed to with stand time and make sense to the adult me.As a kid,I always thought Johnny Bravo was an annoying guy who never seemed to say the the right things around ladies.Fast forward some few years later and here I am using Johnny's lines to score some points on and off the field. For those who have no idea, the show centers on a 'not so bright' Johnny Bravo who is always in his sun glasses and believes all the ladies will automatically love him because of his oversized pecks ,moves and his blond beautyful hair. -
2. Samurai Jack
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 15-20 years, you most probably have heard or watched Samurai Jack.Just like Johnny Bravo, the show is one of those fires that you can barely put out even to adult hood. The show follows a down to earth Samurai who traverses through a violent infested land where he is the most wanteds man.The large part of the series encompasses him trying to get home and kill an evil wizard named Aku who has brought suffering to his people. You can classify the whole show as an adventure/ action series which closely sounds like a Japanese Manga anime. -
3. Boondocks
("I am the storm") If you have watched the show, the theme song is probably playing in your mind right now.The Boondocks which started airing in 2005 and has 4 seasons which center son a black family that moves to an all white neighbourhood named Woodcrest giving us a comedic perspective on cultural conflicts. The family consists of Robert freeman:an ignorant granfather incharge of his 2 grandkids.Riley Freeman:a self proclaimed 7 year old gangster and Huey freeman:a 10 year old revolutionary. The show is easy to love and with the 5th season launching in 2020,the series only promises to get bigger and better. -

Although it is not a series like the rest of the shows on the list,Afro Samurai is one animation that will stick in your mind permanently. It follows a black Samurai with a badly kept afro traversing the through the beautyfull lands of Japan in search of a man who murdered his father while still trying his best to maintain the Samurai's creed. The show is a perfect blend of gore, sword fighting, science fiction and martial arts it encompasses Japanese animation with heavy western influences specifically the hiphop culture and maybe to be described as a mixture of Japanese Manga,Samurai Jack and Hiphop.
